Our Japanese Glasses: Thin and lightweight glassware needs greater skill to produce. Excellent clarity and shine come from expertise of the maker and the quality of raw material they choose. Our Japanese supplier has been perfecting glass-making since 1819.  Like the esteem of so many made-in-Japan products, our glassware is superior but expensive, and discerning customers will know the difference

Rim-tempering:  This is not "just a feature".  A rim can chip if it is not reinforced or has unbalanced tension-compression ratios. Using mechanical heat-and-cold tempering, these glasses have hidden safety built in.

Shape and Form:  The double curved shape is designed to to create subtle ridges which make it look brighter and shinier. The size is perfect for small or large hands and we were impressed by how well that is achieved, as a result of the shape. Whether you use whisky stones or ice, or neither, you will enjoy your whisky in these old fashioned glasses
